dawin gmbh & RWTH Aachen

Campus cooperation for Cluster Logistics

The Forschungsinstitut für Rationalisierung (Research Institute for Rationalisation, FIR e.V.) at the RWTH Aachen and the Troisdorf software company, dawin gmbh, are working together for the planned logistics cluster at the university campus.

dawin is using the broader scope of the University of Aachen (RWTH) for a unified and interdisciplinary exchange between science and industry.
“The possibility of supporting research and development on specific specialist areas and using them for our product development is very interesting for us,” states Jan Dressler, CEO of dawin gmbh, and continues, saying: “RWTH Aachen has created a highly-efficient framework with its concept of a research cluster, facilitating dialogue between dawin® gmbh and RWTH.”

dawin, as sponsor, is to assist with the opening up of the Smart Objects Innovation Lab as part of the Aachen information event meeting on 2 February 2011 in Aachen, and make available its speech-controlled solution for mobile data recording for case of application set up by FIR. RWTH Aachen plans, thanks to the RWTH Aachen Campus, to become one of the world’s leading technical universities, and to this end is setting up on the RWTH Aachen Campus a series of research clusters.
