Simple! Checking at MAINTAIN 2008

Creating customised checklists and simply downloading test instructions is made possible by the mobile quality management and checklist solution, dawin checkMaster.

The Troisdorf system and software company demonstrated the special applications possible for the maintenance sector at the leading trade fair for maintenance, MAINTAIN 2008, in Munich. Laws, safety regulations and service level agreements require many companies to systematically check and document agreed service results and property conditions.

These evaluations and checks are often recorded on forms by hand, and once a check has been completed it has to be transferred to Excel and evaluated. The alternative to this is called dawin checkMaster! The mobile quality measurement and checklist solution, dawin checkMaster, makes it possible to create test procedures and quality measurements as a checklist and take them with you on a PDA or MDA to where the check has to be carried out.

Mobile checks can be carried out under even the toughest of conditions, such as during assembly work or on construction sites, as dawin® showed in partnership with the ID solution provider, identWERK GmbH. The rough PDAs handed out there are particularly robust and are perfectly suited for use away from the office. dawin checkMaster is based on a MySQL database and a so-called check factory. The highly-flexible program is capable of creating customised test procedures and providing the test data immediately after completing an evaluation.

In addition to test instructions or checklists, other information such as contact details, appointments or comments on the tests can be stored. This avoids time-consuming queries or interruptions to testing and increases the quality of the tests. Defects or action guidelines can be added to the test results. Written input, images or speech recordings can be stored directly with the PDA during the testing process.

To meet legal requirements or comply with the specifications of certification procedures, signatures and test times can also be recorded with the PDA. The PDA application has a simple and clear design, and is easy to use. Test data is sent to the user via an internal portal and can be retrieved immediately after completing a check. The dawin checkMaster is also suitable for use in other countries and can be translated into all national languages.

The mobile quality measurement and checklist solution, dawin checkMaster, comes as a free client and PDA version. When using the portal, the client can choose between a value-for-money fixed price and a pay-as-you-go option. Free checklists, a free trial version and other information can be found on the dawin checkMaster at this website: www.einfach-checken.de
