The client’s wishes drive innovation

dawin – Home of cutting-edge software

When selecting our project, there are three questions that matter:

•    Do we understand the client’s environment sufficiently to be able to develop appropriate solutions?
•    Does the solution really make the client’s life easier and better?
•    What can we learn from our client’s environment?

The first question is really the most important. This is why ask our client a huge amount of questions. We spend time on site, observe processes, have discussions and delve deep into our client’s environment. So deep, that we see ourselves as part of it.

We often compare it with the work of a tailor. We have to measure up the client and find out when the item of clothing is to be worn, what materials should be used, and of course, which shapes, colours and styles the client likes.

For our clients, this often means they have to look at their own environment through new eyes. Creative ideas and valuable changes once again become possible.
The answer to the question: “Does the software really make the client’s life easier and better?” is discussed by us with particular enthusiasm. Why? Because we are convinced that software must become more humane. We believe that humane software is software with which we can do the things we’d like to do more easily, and that gives us an opportunity to do things that we otherwise wouldn’t be able to do. What’s more, we believe that software is only good if we manage to keep the technology in the background and the software adapts to peoples’ natural behaviour, e.g. speaking instead of using a keyboard. In return, our clients receive a deep insight into the individual development stages of their solution. Software is seen as a personal project and not as a necessary evil.

“What can we learn from our clients?” is the third question that we seek to answer. It is at the same time the answer to why we are viewed as the “home of cutting-edge software”.  We at dawin believe that innovation and people belong together.  For it is people who want to develop new ideas, seek to push the boundaries and constantly make progress. Our clients continually give us cause to seek new solutions, learn new things and be at the cutting-edge of technology.
